SU Wishing You Well Christmas Wreath

First off, thank you to all of you who sent sweet comments on my blog, on facebook, and via email about my visit with Kathie Lee And Hoda. Jim and I changed our flight Wednesday night to an earlier one on Thursday and beat the snow that hit NY! Jim stopped into my craft room to visit last night and said…oh gosh, this is a mess! So… I spent some time last night tidying up and had to take a break. I ended up making a really quick Christmas card with a Hallmark movie playing in the background- thanks to Angela for reminding me this is the season to watch!

I had set aside the SU Wishing You Well stamp set while I was tidying up to remind me to make some sympathy and get well cards this weekend.
I actually forgot that sweet wreath was in that set…and that there was a Christmas sentiment! I did stamp the gorgeous bow first directly on the wreath and it looked nice but then I just wanted to see how hard it would be to fussy cut since I really wanted to showcase that beautiful bow. I found out it was super easy to do- even for a non-fussy cutter like me! The Paper Snips are essential for a sharp cut that glides around the paper:)

A Visit with Kathie Lee and Hoda on the Today Show

Today, my husband and I had the awesome opportunity to visit behind the scenes
on the Today Show with Kathie Lee and Hoda!

A short walk from our hotel on a chilly morning brought us to the NBC NEWS building
where the show is taped.

It was so interesting to see how the show is taped. It was super cool to wave hi to the people outside the windows –
you know the fun people who are in the background on the streets when you see the show?

Here are a few pics I got of the show as it was going live…

We even saw the tree in Time’s Square being set up.
Look at all the scaffolding needed to put up the tree!

Here is the newly designed Swarovski star being put on.
There has not been a new star for 14 years.

Of course, I could not meet Kathie Lee and Hoda (who are always in my craft room with me)
without bringing some handmade Stampin’ Up cards:)

It made my heart full to see how Jim caught Hoda’s expression
when I showed her a waterfall card for her mom:)

This visit was all made possible through the partnership of the Today Show with
Runway to Hope an organization our family supports.

P.S. I agree with Jim’s observation that Kathie Lee and Hoda are even MORE beautiful in person.
He said I knew they were beautiful ladies on TV but …WOW!

SU A Big Thank You with Thank You Thinlits Fun Cut Front Video Tutorial

I have a Fun Cut Front Card using the Stampin’ Up A Big Thank You Bundle.

And it’s Wednesday so I have a video for you!

Measurements:
Basic Black Card Base: 4-1/4″ x 11″ socred at 5-1/2″ on the 11″ side, cut on score line down 1-1/2″ from the top and then turn card so 4_1/4″ side is at top and cut from the previous cut to the edge of paper, Scallop Oval: 1-1/2″ x 2-1/2″, Thank You Die Cut: 2-1/2″ x 3-1/4″ (X2)
Petal Pink Cardstock inside: 4″ x 5-1/4″
Share What You Love Specialty DSP: 2-1//2″ x 5-1/4′

Stampin’ Up ONSTAGE ORLANDO 2018

I am had a great time at the 30th Anniversary Stampin’ Up convention!

I got to hang out with team members from Pittsburgh…

and friends from all over the US. Here is a pic of the my upline’s team.
It was so wonderful to see everyone!!! I miss them already!

I attended the Centrestage Awards event on Wednesday night at Epcot.

I even got a selfie with the amazing cofounder Shelli Gardner’s awesome daughter, Sara Douglas, who is now the CEO of Stampin’ Up.

It was HOT and A LOT of walking but I felt like I partially burned off the calories in a over the top dessert made from a Krispy Creme donut saute’ed in butter and brown sugar and then flambe’ed in rum and Fireball Whiskey topped off with vanilla bean ice cream!
Best.Dessert.Ever.

We got to see and take home the new Spring Occasions catalog
and the brochure for the line up of Sale-a-bration Season that starts in January 3.

I won the Strong and Beautiful stamp set when #4 was called during Prize Patrol!

and SU gave an all attendee stamp set called Amazing Life that is bundled with….drumroll….RECTANGLE FRAMELITS!!!!!
I can’t tell you how excited I am to have rectangles soon!!! How about you?

There are so many beautiful stamps, DSP, framelits, and accessories in the new catalog
but I am certainly smitten with the Happy Tails Bundle with the Dog Builder Punch
and the companion cat stamp set Nine Lives that works with the Cat Punch in the Annual Catalog.
