SU Perfectly Preserved for MUSE # 1

I am so excited for the format of the new Muse-a Card Making Club Challenge site. A card is displayed from a designer that is to be an inspiration- a muse- for the community of card makers. The participants  get to encourage each other and vote on submissions they admire most.  Amy Kolling’s card was a great one to start off the challenge site!!

I was taken by how the black sentiment jumped out at me among the beautiful soft colors of  the yellow flowers and the green leaves. I was also impressed with the white space and the embossing.  These elements led me to create this card with the same soft colors with black accents on an embossed background. Amy also inspired me to use my SU Perfectly Preserved set again with its cute little flowers…I just love all the die cuts that come with each image;)

  1. Oh what a darling card! I love the little jar with the flowers in it! Such a beautiful take on the inspiration!

    1. Thank you, Jackie. I forgot how versatile that set can be…I have not used it since fall with some apples in it. Glad I had the inspiration from this new site. Muse!!

  2. Cindy – what a great take on the Muse challenge! I LOVE that honeycomb embossing! When I read that that was a CB folder, it reminded me that I have that folder and have never used it!! Why have I never used it?!? It’s adorable, as is your jar and sentiment! Thanks for inspiring me!

    1. Thanks, Kimberly. I have the SU Honeycomb EF on the way with a slightly different design to it- I am excited to use it. But this CB one I have had for a while too and used it twice this week! Have fun using yours;)
