SU All Natural

How wonderful to see the beautiful artwork of Erica’s mom this week at the Friday MashUp # 129. I loved the rich, dark colors of SU Cherry Cobbler and Early Espresso melding together with the mellow So Saffron.

My mom is not an artist with pens or brushes but when it comes to canning fruit and jellies- she is an artist for sure! I just stopped by this weekend for her BIRTHDAY and shopped in her canning center. I picked up some delicious tart cherry preserves, elderberry jelly, and peach marmalade. If there is a fruit to be picked and canned- she (and my faithful dad) get to work.  So, this card is a Mashed Up  tribute to my mom- the canner of pears (and anything else she can get her hands on!)
SU All Natural Pear!

I put the sentiment on the inside to keep the card looking clean like a portrait. Mom will display it and save it for sure;) This card has the tic-tac-toe of Embossing, Birthday, and Button so I am sharing it with Ann and The Paper Players # 165 this week.

  1. Beautiful card for your mom.

Just wondering if you got my email about the stamp set for sale on my blog? Sometimes my emails don’t go through and I just wanted to check with you.

    1. Thank you, Kristie. I did get the email and started the reply and was called away so I saved it as a draft and got sidetracked…imagine that? I will get back to you asap- I was not sure if I had this stamp in FLA and my son is checking for me. Thanks, Kristie!

  2. Amazing card!!!!! The colors match the photo soooooo well! Yum Yum….fresh elderberry jelly!!!!

    1. Thank you, Nancy. My mom made elderberry jelly for all my stampers last October as a favor- they were so cute. Today was a year since then- October- and everyone was wondering if elderberry jelly was the favor this month!

  3. Beautiful card, Cindy! Your inking around the edges of the whisper white is perfect. I had to sit here and really stare to determine if the whisper white was framed by the other two colors or on top of them.

  4. How wonderful to be able to shop your mother’s canning goods! I am so jealous! You did an amazing job with this sketch and I love it’s clean and simple lines. Thanks so much for playing at The Friday Mash Up!

  5. Cindy, what a great card and I love the story behind it. I’d love to go shopping in your Mom’s cannery – it all sounds yummy. Love the embossing, the ribbon and the placement of the button. I also love that you put the sentiment on the inside.
So glad you joined the Paper Players this week
