It’s Monday…so I checked out the Mojo Monday Sketch # 388 for this week.
The sketch fit in well with one of the Bokeh Techniques (blurred effect with photography) that I shared with my friends at The BEEHIVE Team meeting over the weekend.
I saw Deb Valder do this technique with SU Night of Navy ink sponged over a Whisper White cardstock base. She then sponged on SU White Craft ink circles and the new Color Box Chalk inks that are in the Occasions catalog.
I was in a purple mood so I used Elegant Eggplant as my sponged Bokeh background on an Elegant Eggplant card. I then die cut various sized circles out of a piece of acetate to create a template. I randomly sponged SU White Craft ink over the Elegant Eggplant sponged base. Warning: my white dauber did pick up some purple as I sponged! I also used my heat gun to set the white craft ink before I finished the Bokeh effect with daubered circles of Color Box Aquamarine, Rose Coral, and Yellow Citrus Chalk ink.
For the Mojo Monday Sketch #388, I added in a Crushed Curry star from the SU Mini Treat Bag Thinlits, two white Candy Dots, some SAB ribbon, and the cute little star and sentiment in the SU Hooray It’s Your Day stamp set.
The stamp set is photopolymer so it made stamping the inside sentiment so easy!
The SU Hooray It’s Your Day is a fun set to have for little kid cards- Birthday Boy, Birthday Girl, and Look who’s turning…whatever number you want!
If you need anything or have any questions regarding SU items or anything on my blog, I would love to help you in any way I can.

Great Bokeh card Cindy! I have yet to try it, and am looking forward to! 🙂
Wow, this is fabulous! I love the colors you chose. I just tried this for the first time.
I almost did that same circle shadow technique! It looks good on your card, nice job!
