SU Cool Treats for Creating Pretty Cards Challenge # 70

April 15, 2017

I played along with the sketch at Creating Pretty Cards Challenge #70 over at

Craft Project Central.

You can play along and get a chance to win a free month’s subscription of your choice.

I am prepping for a Cool Treats Bundle Class soon and
had some of this and some of that left over with cutting the Tasty Treats DSP so I used it up! Thanks to my friend, Sandy Mott, for inspiration that fit in with the sketch, too! I love when every little scrap is used:)

*The sentiment comes for the 2017 SAB Designer Tee stamp set.

Nailed It Gift Card Holder

April 13, 2017

So sad to see the Nailed It bundle gone but those who have it can make this fun gift card holder!

I used the Serene Scenery DSP for the background on the front. I knew as soon as I saw the stamp set come out that I wanted to use that parquet wood paper!

The inside uses the B.Y.O.P. stamp set- such a great stamp set!
And it is retiring- perfect for gift card holders!

To make the base of the card, start with a 4-1/4″ x 11″ piece of cardstock. Score at 4-1/2″, 5-1/2″ and 6-1/2″ on the 11″ side. Fold it as shown in the photo. Adhere the two folds together along where the folds are touching the table in the photo. Keep the adhesive close to the folds as photo A shows. Slide the Classic Label Punch in the middle of the top tented where the gift slot is located as seen in photo B. You will need to slide the punch about 1/8″ to the left and the to the right side of the initial punch so the gift card will fit.

I hope you will try making one of these simple holders to surprise someone who opens it!
If you do, send me a pic- I love to see what you are doing!
