You are about to see the rarely seen Red-Bellied Chickadee…
I say “rarely” because some other stamper may have colored the belly red!
I texted my friend (upline) Linda to ask her opinion on whether my red heart should be on the top or bottom, and she said on the bottom but she was “a little disturbed” by the red belly on the chickadee. Oh, it definitely is a chickadee but I reminded her that in the stamping world- “anything goes to make it coordinate.”
I don’t think I convinced Linda (aka the realist) of my chickadee/robin but she gave me
the green light to “go with my artistic gut”…
On the inside, I used two thinlits from the Petals and More Thinlits that are similar
to the ones on the Petal Passion DSP along with the Happy Birthday sentiment
from the new SU Beautiful Day stamp set.
I am sharing this card with Freshly Made Sketches # 320.
Thanks for buzzing by, friends…
Love the red belly and your layered hearts!!❤
Thanks, Ree! Hope you and Nate are keeping warm over there:) Hugs.
LOL, I wouldn’t mind seeing one of those birds on my feeder, pretty cute. Love the card Cindy and especially the way you decorated the inside too. Tweet tweet!
Thanks, Debbi. I made yellow birds, blue birds, and red birds…A tweet right back at ya!
I love the red bellied bird! The whole card is great!!!
Thanks, Jenny! Hope all is well with you:)
A beautifully designed card, on the inside and out (red-bellied chickadee and all). Thanks for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches this week!
Thanks, Amy! Your compliment puts a smile on my face:)
I’m all about creative license (mind you, I made a purple owl last week so not sure I get to weigh in, haha!). The bird is such fun here and I love your take on the sketch. So glad you joined us this week at FMS!
Thanks so much, Jen! Green elephants, purple owls…maybe that Panda will end up in color somewhere!
