Stampin’ Up! Music from the Heart

April 17, 2020

I played around with the Stampin’ Up! Music from my Heart stamp set over the weekend.
I love how the Silver Foil Stitched Stars Dies added some pizzazz to this card!

The guitar was made by adding the neck of the guitar to the treble clef…isn’t that cool?
The stamp set is really a neat one- look at all the versatile sentiments and musical images.

I know ABSOLUTELY nothing about music so I am sure my notes are placed all crazy…lol.
I have the utmost respect for musicians!

The diagonal striped DSP is from a retired Neutrals Paper Stack (12 x 12) that had diagonal stripes/little flowers and polka dots/script in the stack. Any black and white pattern would work to give a backdrop for the guitar. If you make one, send me a pic!

Thanks for buzzing by, friends…

    1. LeAnne, it is a really cute stamp set. Since I was having a class with it, I really had fun playing with it. Dawn did a great job designing it! Thanks for stopping, by:)))

  1. Such a neat card. I make a lot of music cards for people who do special music at our church during the summer. Oh, and your notes are just fine!

    1. Thanks, Veronica! I so wished I could play something…one of my sons plays guitar because I told him as a 8th grade homeschooler that he could not graduate high school until he played an instrument…(the next two kids who came along knew better)…but it makes me happy he can play! I also told him I would die a happy woman the day I saw him playing in the worship band- when he was in 9th grade, he came down from the stage and said, “glad you are still alive, Mom!”

      1. It’s never too late to play an instrument. I just started Hammered Dulcimer in February and I’m loving it…and I’m 73. 🙂

  2. I love this card and have to CASE it for a teenager’s birthday. What DSP did you use for this? Thank you so much for sharing 🙂

    1. Hi Debbie, thanks for stopping by. The DSP is a retired paper stack that had diagonal stripes and little tiny flowers on the other side. The stack also had polka dots in it with script on one side… probably over 5 years old! Try any black and white pattern around the edge:) I think the stars and silver really add to the card.

      1. Thanks.. I found one that will work in an old stack of DSP. It is an irregular pattern and will look good. I like the diagonal though.

  3. Funny, Debbie, I needed one more for a class and found a diagonal in another retired DSP- it was the called Kaliedoscope. Oh, my…I found a lot of stuff looking for a stripe…got me inspired today!!

  4. Hello! I would love this stamp. My daughter makes cards and donates them to our local children’s hospital as a fundraiser for them, but can’t find it. Do you have a suggestion where I could purchase it? Thanks so very much
