Stampin’ Up! Flowers for Every Season Pinwheel Video Tutorial Card

August 19, 2020

My girls and I got together virtually last month and made this fun “stampless” card!

The pinwheel technique has been around a long time but may be the only quilting I may every do…unless my friend Janet shows me how!!I used the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder on this card. I also used a button die from the retired Stampin’ Up! Arts and Crafts Dies. The Well Written Dies are a staple for cardmaking- so many words that coordinate with great sentiments in the Well Said Stamp Set. Here is how easy it is to make one with scraps in your craft room.

Here is another one I made with the versatile Stampin’ Up! Flowers for Every Season Designer Series Paper. It comes in 6″ x 6″ so it is a perfect size that leaves scraps when you cut a 4″ x 5-1/4″ panel. I put the die cut “friend” on the inside of the card below. The white panel is embossed with Stampin’ Up! Dainty Diamonds EF. I love how it can lend itself to a polished look or a casual look depending on the stamps, technique, or materials you use:)

Measurements:
Card Base: 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5-1/2″ on 11″ side
Border around White panel: 4″ x 5-1/4″
Whisper White Embossed Panel: 3-3/4′ x 5″
(2) Squares that form diamond shape to mount pinwheel: 2-5/8″
(8) 1-1/4″ squares- 4 each of two different patterns
Inside: 4″ x 5-1/4″

Stampin’ Up! Sounds of the Season and Playful Alphabet Dies with Brightly Gleaming DSP

August 17, 2020

When I saw those bells in the NEW Stampin’ UP! Mini Holiday Catalog…I was ecstatic!
The Stampin’ Up! Cherish the Season Bundle was the first thing on my pre-order list!!

I used the Stampin’ Up! Sounds of the Season Dies along with my Playful Alphabet Dies to create the Copper Foil JINGLE to coordinate with my returning favorite Brightly Gleaming Designer Series Paper. Those little holly leaves can stay in the dies or come out which is super versatile. I like them in on this card:) Tip: If you know me, I am sure you know that I cut a Copper Foil sheet to 4″ x 5-1/4″ and cut out my bells and jingle word leaving a border on the rectangle. So, now I have a panel to add to a card front to create a lovely foil border when I cover up the negative die cuts. Ladies and Gents, we must use our foil wisely!

I had thought of using the Copper Panel around the DSP but I liked the pop of the Very Vanilla a bit better:)

Thanks for buzzing by, friends…

Stampin’ Up! So Much Happy Bundle Video Tutorial

August 12, 2020

I was inspired by the card in the Annual Catalog with sponged clouds. I made a mask with the cloud edge die and sponged some cute clouds after die cutting the HAPPY out of the white panel. Here is a video of how easy it was to make this card:

Measurements:
Poppy Parade Card Base: 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5-1/2″ on the 11″ side
Balmy Blue: 4″ x 5-1/4″
Whisper White: 3-3/4″ x 5″ outside, 4″ x 5-1/4″ inside

I just love that HAPPY die! It is so fun to play with!
