Some colors naturally complement each other so beautifully and then some colors take work to get them to mesh. It took me so time to warm up to these colors.
But I looked around at His creation and thought….all colors go together – just do something with them already! I used the colors in the ColourQ challenge #154 but subbed Baroque Burgundy for the Bravo Burgundy. In the end, I think the colors worked, what do you think?

I have been stamping all weekend while I have had the house all to myself ! I was running low on baby cards so I tried out the ever popular and so adorable onesie card. Although it takes a few steps, it is relatively simple to make. The pink color just makes me smile;)

The designers over at Freshly Made Sketches are celebrating their ONE year anniversary this week. Congrats to them! So, this week’s challenge allowed participants to use any of the sketches from the last year. There were so many to pick from in their gallery. This a wonderful place to get ideas when you have “stamper’s block.” I chose Sketch # 24.
The second photo shows the detail of the dry embossing on the Certainly Celery background that doesn’t show up well enough in my photo. I watercolored the flowers with SU inks.

As I was getting ready to go to go to bed 15 minutes before midnight on this memorial day of September 11…I thought of those who went “above and beyond” and those who continue to go beyond for others everyday. Thank You!
This week’s challenge was a fun sketch that lended itself well to the SU One in a Million stamp set that I have been itching to use on a card!
While I was making this card, Jim stepped into the stamping area and asked if I had anything to cut a template for a piece on his boat. I said, yes, you can use this or that to do the job. He remarked how his dad always said that having the right tools is 90% of the job. I agreed! This card is a perfect example of using a lot of cool tools like circle punches to produce a neat card.
