Color Challenge with PPA 142 and SU Affection Collection

The challenge was to create a card using the  SU colors: Elegant Eggplant, Lucky Limeade, and Pumpkin Pie or similar colors. I had Pumpkin Pie but  subbed in  Eggplant Envy (retired)  for Elegant Eggplant and Wild Wasabi for Lucky Limeade.

I would not have chosen to use the colors together unless I was making a Halloween card but was pleasantly surprised how attractive they looked together on the card. Thanks for looking!

MOJO 257

This challenge was interesting since a lot of sketch design elements were involved in this card.

I knew I wanted to use the SU Four Seasons Hostess set for the focal point of the card. My first inclination was to do a card only using white and SU Real Red ink/paper but my mojo would not cooperate with me so I called on my old faithful SU Old Olive!

It’s starting to look like Autumn here in Pittsburgh, PA…

but it will be more comfortable when the humidity that came with the rain makes an exit !! The Paper Players Challenge #111 celebrates the season with a focus on leaves and trees. I made a tea bag holder which is an excellent little gift to say a random thanks to the people who touch our lives everyday like a postal carrier, a bus driver, or the receptionist at the dentist office!
