ColourQ Freshly Made…

I combined ColourQ #159 with Freshly Made Sketches # 57 in this card. I have wanted to use the SU Papillon Potpourri stamp set for a while now, and here was my chance. I thought of the Monarch butterfly and wings in tones of orange  and thought that  SU Only Orange and Tangerine Tango fit the bill. I wanted to get Pear Pizzazz ink into the picture but instead found the color in some lovely DSP- no matter how many times I photographed this card in different lightings- none of them gave this sweet paper justice- it is so pretty in person! I must say I liked the black to set things off.

Cindy goes to Stamp Camp…

I had the most wonderful time visiting my SU upline, Linda Heller in Maitland, Florida last evening. Her home and studio are amazing and inspiring!  We made three cards, and here is one of her designs…Image

This is a got-to-see-in-person card. Notice the shiny appearance…faux tile technique…so cool!!! I can’t wait to share this technique at one of my Stamp Camps!

Fab Friday on Tuesday…

Don’t you just love this color combo on Fab Friday 04? Since Summer Starfruit is an odd color (in my opinion), the blues just set it off. I used the SU Beautiful Wings embosslit so I could layer the colors to accent the Summer Starfruit.

*10/23/12- I have been searching to find how/where I was inspired to make this card and finally found a rough sketch I made a few years ago with the name…Vicki Burdett.

A double challenge = double the fun!!

I doubled up with Mojo Monday # 263 and The Paper Players #117 this week. I liked the masculine colors so I went with a retired stamp set- SU Noble Deer. Although, I could give this card to my sister-in-law and niece who always bring home a deer during hunting season!

ColourQ 158 was a challenge…

I thought these ColourQ #158 colors were interesting but a little challenging for me. I just finished a slew of Halloween cards for a friend and just didn’t want to do another one but these colors were telling me Halloween. Eventually, I thought of using a geometric pattern that would lend itself to this different color scheme. And here’s what I came up with…
