SU Family Reunion with Grandpa

I just got back from visiting my parents and my grandparents this evening. I am so blessed to have both of  them live only 45 minutes away from me in a lovely over 55 retirement community. My husband is away on business so I got to eat my mom’s homestyle cooking tonight. I can’t express how wonderful the four of them are…they would do anything, at anytime, for anyone! I was reminded as I drove home that I need to cherish every moment with them and not take them for granted. I wanted to post a card for The Friday Mashup # 104  tonight so I made my grandpa’s birthday card for when he turns 90- a simple card for a man who is no frills just the epitome of honor and integrity. Notice the umbrella the embossed man is holding? Sorry, I could not mash it up with a Double Z fold this time but I did combine it with the Dynamic Duos #47 colors this week.

  1. What a fantastic card for your grandpa. I love that image…so clean and simple, yet very powerful.

And yes, enjoy every moment! I lost my beloved grandparents a few yrs ago….Grandma in June 2008 and Grandpa May 2009. I miss them terribly!

Thanks for playing along with us at The Friday Mashup!
