SU Chalk Talk Color Blocking

The Friday MashUp # 123 challenges us this week to Mash it Up by using acrylic blocks as stamps and using color blocking in our project. I found this as easy as A-B-G !  Yep, I inked up my SU A, B, and G blocks and plopped them down on my Naturals cardstock to create a background. I wanted to add some leaves or a fall motif but didn’t want to cover up the cool effect of the color blocking so I perused my stamp sets and found a “sketchy” sentiment in the SU Chalk Talk set. It easily punches out with the Extra-Large Oval Punch but from there, I had to improvise to create a border. I found another oval die and cut out the middle to create a new border that fit my punched oval. It rests behind the Tangerine Tango band so no one knows it is not a full oval…except you and whoever reads this post!
