SU Treat Cups for the Friday Mashup 169

Hey everyone..

I finally got internet access at the hotel tonight in Salt Lake City just in time for the Friday Mashup post! I was getting nervous since yesterday I could not log on and doing a post from my phone wasn’t cutting it. I even had to bring my card here to the Stampin’ Up convention since I left so early Wednesday without any sunshine in my family room to snap a photo. I was just a little too busy to get it done any earlier in the week.

So, here is my Friday Mashup Challenge #169 straight to you from the hotel lobby! Of course, I did not look strange taking the photo since the hotel is full of demonstrators sharing swaps and ideas…lol.

The Mashup Challenge:

Create a project using a “Background Stamp.”

Create a project with “something 3-D on it.”

or Mash it Up! and create a “project with a 3-D element and a Background Stamp.”

Snowman Treat Cup

I decided to do a little “Christmas in July” before the month is over…

I Mashed It Up by using the SU Hardwood stamp to create a rustic background for my 3D snowman with a SU treat cup filled with mini Altoids. I scavenged  some random felt ribbon I just loved from World Market to make a cozy scarf and added a sprig of greenery to finish off his hat.

Make sure to check out the fun Design Team inspiration cards/projects at the Friday Mashup. I can’t wait to see what your creative minds come up with this week!

  1. Cindy this is adorable! I love your cute snowman, especially since it’s a shaker card! Thanks for having me as a guest at The Friday Mashup!

  2. ((squeal)) I can even tell you how excited I was to see that you made a Christmas card!! He is adorable! I don’t think I would have thought to use the Hardwood with a snowman but I am going to have to remember it, it looks great! Fantastic card, Cindy!

  3. Cindy this is such a cute card. He makes me want to smile! You did a fantastic job. Thanks for always inspiring us!

  4. Cindy, your snowman is just too stinkin’ cute! What a great idea for a Christmas card! Great job mashing things up for our challenge this week. I hope your back feels better soon too. It’s no fun trying to prep for a class when all you want to do is rest so the pain goes away.
