SU Birthday Blossoms

November 18, 2015

I think it is so thoughtful when someone asks for a SU Gift Certificate for a friend.
I mean, seriously, aren’t crafting supplies “what a girls wants, what a girl needs?”
(boys too…but the tune playing in my head says girls…lol)

Anyhoo, a sweet lady requested a birthday gift certificate for a family member, and this is the card that will accompany the gift certificate:

SU Birthday Blossoms Woodgrain Frame

I was inspired by  Amy O’Neill’s sketch at Freshly Made Sketches #213 this week.

FMS Final 213-001

And, congrats to Amy for being picked as a SU Artisan Team Member for the next year!

I used my blender pens to color the blossoms in the SU Birthday Blossoms stamp set. Of course, I also used my favorite background stamp ever, Hardwood. To make the banner, I used the long, narrow die in the SU Gift Card and Trims Thinlits die set. Since it only has one pennant end, I cut one first and then popped it into the framelit and ran it through the Big Shot on the other end.  I use this die a lot because it is long enough to surround a lot of sentiments. I also used some retired Hello Honey DSP on the bottom under the panel to complete the sketch challenge.

A simple birthday greeting on the inside finished off the card  …
