SU Mosaic Madness

I just LOVE the new SU Mosaic Madness stamp set with coordinating punch and embossing folder. It even has paper to match as well. There are so many cute mosaic stamps in the set. That is one of the reasons I love SU products so much!! I have been on a yellow kick lately trying to evoke sunshine…and since I have wedding for a swap (remember a card from last week?)- here ya go:

I drew inspiration from Laurie Willison’s beautiful card for the MUSE Card Club # 20. I loved Laurie’s bow but am challenged in that department so I did a simple one. Of course, I loved the yellow and used a triple decorative iconic focal image and layered panel like Laurie did on her card.

I think one of my favorite colors is gray- I am so excited because I just received my new SU Smoky Slate ink and paper via UPS today. Who says, diamonds are a girl’s best friend? I think it is the UPS deliverer…

SU Sweet Essentials for the Bride and Groom

When I looked at the sweet, cuddly card by Therese Calvird at the MUSE Card Club # 17 this week, I kept thinking of “stacked objects.”

I was inspired to make a card that had that theme. I thought all week, and last night while my mom was visiting me in my stamping center, I came up with a tiered wedding cake. I have always wanted to make a wedding cake card. It wasn’t paper pierced but it was cut out paper that I embossed and put a black outline around. I also mounted it on a center panel like the MUSE card.

SU Hearts-A-Flutter

The Friday Mashup #103 asks for a project/card that uses lined paper in it- to “celebrate” tax time coming up…lol. I used some of my stash of lined black notebook paper again, a cute stamp from Fiskars, and of course- the versatile, sweet SU Hearts-A-Flutter stamp set and coordinating dies. I mashed it up by distressing the edges of the pink with the SU Distressing Tool and smudging up some of the stark white of the hearts and edges of the pink with SU Pastels black chalk. This card could be for a wedding or anniversary.

A Forever Valentine…

Once you are married…you have your Forever and Always Valentine! My wonderful grandparents celebrated will be celebrating their 69th Valentine’s Day together this year!!

This card is doing triple time this week… the colors black/red/valentine for Dynamic Duos #36, the sketch for The Paper Players #129 and my second design for my annual card exchange where I will be making Wedding cards;)
