SU Wishing You Well Sneak Peek

August 22, 2018

I just fell in love with the delicate little bow in the SU Wishing You Well stamp set.
Has that ever happened to you? You are drawn to the set for one little image?

Of course, then I fall in love with all the other images!

I adore the lightly drawn sentiments- that stamp beautifully!
I thought the set paired well the Nature’s Poem Designer Series Paper.
As you can see I pulled the colors from the DSP- Mint Macaron, Cajun Craze, and Grapefruit Grove.
Although you can find Grapefruit Grove pearls in the Share What You Love Artisan Pearls,
I just colored my pearls with the Light Calypso Coral Alcohol Based Stampin’ Blends.

The base of my tent card is 4-1/4″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″ on the 8-1/2″ side.
The DSP is a 4″ square. The white panel is 2-3/4″ x 4 bordered by a 3″ x 4-1/4″ Cajun Craze Panel.

SU Dandelion Wishes Video Tutorial

July 9. 2018

Remembering picking those pretty dandelion bouquets as a kid…
and then being told they were just weeds? LOL.
Well, they must be special with all the ways they are displayed…
in photos, on clothing, home decor, and of course, on stamps!

I have a video for you showing how to make a tri-panel image as the focal point on a card.

Here is the finished card from the video:

Now here is the same card that has all the layers run through the Big Shot using
the Subtle Embossing Folder.

Quite a different effect that Subltle Embossing Folder makes, huh?

Measurements:
Soft Suede Card Base: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, Focal panel border 3″ x 4-1/4″, 2-1/2″ square for sentiment
Very Vanilla outside and inside: 4″ x 5-1/4″, Tri-panelĀ  2-3/4″ x 3-3/4″ cut into (3) 1-1/4″ pieces on the 3-3/4″ side, 2-1/2″ square for sentiment

SU Serene Garden Sneak Peek

May 16, 2018

There is a beautiful new bundle in the upcoming catalog with a very appropriate name-
it is called Serene Garden. It is so lovely.
I used it to make this sympathy card with the new soft colors of Soft Seafoam and Petal Pink.

I love this bundle not only for its images but also for the ability to cut them out with coordinating dies. But, the part I really love is the corner “embossing” die! Isn’t that just awesome? We have a new embossing mat coming out for the Big Shot that I just ordered- I wonder how different it will look when I use it?

The colors are subtle on this card as I wanted a soothing palette for a sympathy card but the popped up flowers add that little bit of texture and dimension to finish of the card. We also have a new All Occasion stamp set called Itty Bitty Greetings coming out that can stand in for the retiring Teeny Tiny Wishes (I love them both- two that are necessary in my stamping room). And…the little die from the Lakeside Framelits is just the ticket for cutting out the little sentiments! A few little pearls on the ends adds a little texture as well.

SU Lilypad Lake Sneak Peek

May 4, 2018

Here is a sneak peek of the NEW bundle coming out June 1st in the Annual Catalog.
I used the new stamp set Lilypad Lake and its coordinating Lakeside framelits to create this simple card.

Both blues used on this card are new as well- the lighter blue is Balmy Blue and the darker one is Blueberry Bushel.
Balmy Blue is kind of a brighter mix of our retiring Marina Mist and Soft Sky.
The Balmy Blue panel with the waves die cut measures 3-3/4″ x 5″.
I bordered it with the new IN COLOR Blueberry Bushel cut to 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″.
I stamped some Blueberry Bushel waves to the inside with a sentiment of calmness.
The sun isĀ  a 1/2″ circle of So Saffron cardstock set behind the awesome die cuts from the Lakeside Framelits.
I love having new dies to cut out sentiments, don’t you?

This new set has great little sailboats in it, too- it’s going to be a winner!

SU Hold on to Hope Bridge Fold Card Video Tutorial

January 29, 2018

Hello, friends!
I have another fun fold video for you today using the
Hold on to Hope Bundle found in the Occasions Catalog.

Here is how you create aĀ  Bridge Fold Card:

Notice the framelit that cut out the fancy cross below is an additional one that does not coordinate with any image-
how nice to have that, huh? I inlaid the cross in the cut out I made with another die after stamping the foliage.

Here is a simple way to finish off the back to write a message of encouragement or sympathy.

The Hold on to Hope Stamp Set is a versatile one that offers a variety of uses
because of these two sentiments-

You can use this stamp set for many occasions like
a Birthday, a Graduation, a Christening, a Baptism, a Confirmation,
a Holy Communion, or even a Bridal Shower!

Measurements:

Tranquil Tide Card Base- 4-1/4″ x 8″, scored at 1-1/4″, 2-1/2″, 5-1/2″, and 6-3/4″
