Stampin’ Up HOME Decor Frame Video Tutorial

September 18, 2019

I finally made one! I have been seeing these HOME decor frames all over Pinterest for years!
I wanted a fun activity to do with my stamping girls, and this is what we did last weekend!

We die cut H-M-E out of Basic Black cardstock and adhered it to black fun foam letters cut out with the retired Large Letters Dies.
We then adhered them in a shadow box frame over a  5″ x 7″ Crumb Cake panel embossed with the Pinewood Planks Folder.

These would be so fun to do with a craft class or make at a Girl’s Night Out or In!
They also make wonderful gifts especially for the crafty friends in your life!

We traveled through 12 stations making a “O” for each month of the year. The oval is 1-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ with the next size up scallop.

As you can see in the white frame, we made a cat oval for October as well as the oval with leaves.
The possibilities are endless with all the stamps and dies we have!

Stampin’ Up Lots of Cheer with Stitched Rectangles Frame

September 16, 2019

Rustic some red and green with Mr. Snowman from the Stampin’ Up Lots of Cheer stamp set.
You can find this stamp set in the Annual Catalog:)

I created a stitched frame to show off Mr. Snowman using my SU Stitched Rectangle Dies.

Here is a pic to show you how to cut it after you tape the two rectangles together:

My Very Vanilla border around the Mossy Meadow stitched frame is 3-3/4″ x 4-5/8″ .
I trimmed down my card base to 4-1/4″ x 5-3/8″ to make it more visually appealing:)

Those cute snowflakes came from the Frosted Frames Dies.

Stampin’ Up Toile Christmas Bundle

September 13, 2019

Have you seen the cardinal from the Stampin’ Up Toile Christmas stamp set
on page 3 of the Holiday Catalog?

I noticed that it was colored with Watercolor Pencils so I added some to my image. I stamped my cardinal in Cherry Cobbler ink on Real Red Cardstock. Then I colored the breast/belly with some Pumpkin Pie and white colored pencils.  I colored the beak with Daffodil Delight colored pencil. It added just a little something to pep up the image. I plan to play around some more with this beautiful bird…

Thanks for stopping by, friends…

*I used the retired Hardwood Background stamp as my backdrop for the cardinal.
I also used a Real Red Stampin’ Blend on the berries:)

Stampin’ Up Buckle Card Video Tutorial with Mosaic Mood Designer Series Paper

September 11, 2019

I finally cut into the gorgeous Mosaic Mood Designer Series Paper!

I made a Fun fold called a Buckle Card because of the way the card closes- a belt slides into a buckle:)
Here is a video showing how to make one:

The beautiful hummingbirds with the clear embossed texture on the DSP were easy to fussy cut with my Stampin’ Up Paper Snips. I made two different variations depending on how the hummingbird was facing.

The Stampin’ Up Here’s a Card stamp set had a great sentiment that fit the card wonderfully.

Measurements:
Card Base is 4-1/4″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 5-1/2″ on 8-1/2″ side.
The Leaves DSP is  2-3/4″ x 4″ and the belt DSP is 1-1/2″ x 3″.
The Belt is 1-3/4″ x 5-1/2″ scored at 5-1/4″ so there is a 1/4″ flap to attach to the card base.
The embossed circle is 2-1/4″, the bordering circle is 2-1/2″. Inside panel is 4″ x 5-1/4″.

* I did use the 2-1/4″ and the 2-1/2″ circle punches:)

Stampin’ Up Snow Front

September 9, 2019

I pretended I was a watercolor artist over the weekend…
this is what the Stampin’ Up Snow Front stamp set helped me do:

I can’t wait to play around some more with this set…
look at all the great “clear” photopolymer stamps to design your own masterpiece:

At first, I was bummed I did not use my Stamparatus to stamp the  Buffalo Check Background and it was not perfect but then thought nothing is more comfy than a well worn flannel shirt! The sentiment comes from the  SU Merry Christmas to All Stamp Set. There is also a sentiment in the Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp Set that is the same words!

I easily cut down my sentiment stitched rectangle by cutting it out with the die and then placing the die right where I wanted it to be sized. You can customize the die cut to any size you want by sliding the die over the stitches that just sink down into the die cut. I use a post it to hold it in place when I die cut to be safe:) Think of all the possible sizes you can make!!
